A few instructions for using Range Mineral.

Getting Started
Feel free to try out the system by clicking on "Build a Supplement". This gives you access to the supplement options and allows you to build a custom mineral supplement. You will not be able to order, however, until you set up a user account.

Setting up a User Account
A user account is required to get a final price quote and order a custom supplement. A user account will allow you to store up to 10 custom supplement mixes that can be reordered at a later date. Logging in to your account also gives you access to the current price of any of your custom mixes.

Building a Supplement
Your custom supplement starts with the selection of a base package. The base package page allows you to view details of eight base package options and select the one that fits your feeding situation. You can then view the trace mineral, vitamin, and additive options that are available for addition to your base package. Each base package is a one ton (2000 lb) mix with a fixed amount of FILL SPACE reserved for use in adding custom options to your supplement mix. Available fill space is displayed in pounds for each base package.

Each custom option has a FILL USE value also displayed in pounds. Each option selected will use up a portion of the fill space available in your base package. The available fill space cannot be exceeded. Having leftover fill space is normal and the space will actually be filled in the mix with a high quality distillers grain product. The Range Mineral system will always display how much fill space has been used and how much is remaining.

Only one trace mineral package and one vitamin package can be selected for each supplement mix. We recommend including a trace mineral package and a vitamin package in every supplement mix although it is not required.

Multiple additive options can be selected as long as there is sufficient fill space available in your mix. Some of the additive options will be familiar to you. The Range Mineral system allows you to research the various options to see if they may be of benefit in your operation.

Order Sizes
Minimum order size is one ton. Orders can only be placed in one ton increments.

To maintain maximum vitamin potency, we recommend that a mineral supplemet be fed within 6 months of mixing. Fed at 3 ounces (2/10 lb) it takes 60 head of mature cattle about 6 months to consume a ton. For ranches with smaller herds, we suggest coordinating with other cattlemen to split an order.

Order Time
We generally require 3-5 working days to have an order ready to ship. Rush orders can sometimes be arranged if production schedules permit. Large volume orders may require more time. We will coordinate with each customer on pickup or delivery scheduling.

Volume Discounts
Volume discounts are calculated in the order process. Discounts are as follows:

5 - 9 tons: $20 per ton
10 - 19 tons: $40 per ton
20+ tons: $60 per ton

Distribution and Freight Charges
If your ranch location is within our core distribution area (see map) you can choose to have delivery figured in to the cost of your supplement. We can usually deliver to your location within one week. Freight charges can be saved by picking up your supplement order at the plant in Fruitland, Idaho.

If you are in the secondary distribution area (see map) freight cost will be individually determined for each order. We will try to coordinate multiple orders for delivery to keep freight costs as low as possible.
